LION DANCES FOR WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAYS, ENGAGEMENT PARTIES, BABY 100 DAYS

It is a great traditional Chinese blessing to have a lion dance for special occasions. As well as being a spectacular show in the couple's and family reception, the traditional lion dance is meant to invite happiness and fortune into the marriage, driving away any unwanted spirits.

The chorus of the drum, gong, and cymbals brings a cheerful and lively beat as the lions bow in respect to the couple and put on a very unique and enchanting show for the couple and their guests. A "Choi Cheng" lettuce ceremony would shred and toss the lettuce leaves to the guests, spreading fortune to all in attendance. At the end, the lions unfurl scrolls of blessing in Chinese characters for the couple.

CORPORATE/PRIVATE/GRAND OPENING EVENTS

Bringing blessings to businesses since 1972. Lion Dances are a traditional Chinese ceremony to bring blessings and fortune and are especially great for grand openings, unveilings, anniversaries, achievements, Chinese New Year, and other events and celebrations.

COMMUNITY/CHARITY EVENTS

Aside from the annual Chinese New Year parade in Vancouver's historic Chinatown, some of our most rewarding performances are for community and charity events and celebrations such as the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House, association banquets, SUCCESS events, the Vaisakhi Parade, the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, performing for civic leaders, Federal and Provincial Ministers, MPs, and MLAs, BC's Lieutenant-Governor, and the Prime Minister of Canada,
